  do you think power gum would be any good for dacron connectors have loads somewhere for when you used to fish to hand on the shannon sadly looks like those days are gone~think its more supple than dacron stiffer too just a thought thats all fells ~sick

  I always had trouble getting knots to hold with the stuff, bit of superglue and it might be good though?

  yes maybe or even the old lighter jobby its worth trying no need for fancy tail rubbers or beads so makes it cheaper all round as it wont be able to pull back up inside your top section because of the thickness ~think just n idea thats nath ya no what i mean pal you been swapping yapole for a z9 aint ya ???

  I used to make connectors with power gum before switching to the fly line backing. The trick is to tie a triple over hand knot then heat the end bits so that they melt into a blob then imerse in cold water, never come apart then.~clap

  I’ve got a Z9 mate but not sold any daiwas! Not tried the Z9 yet.

  I use it – its fine, you just have to the pull the knot very tight
