I think its a bad idea it depends on the venue though Ive heard certain venues respond to paste fishing in winter the places I fish you cant even catch on a 4mm expander.

Worth a try mate,i had 3 carp on it last weekend and the water was bloody cold.Knew i had carp in the peg couldnt catch on the pellet 4-6mm put a small piece of paste on and it sailed away.
My mate won his section the match before with skimmers and carp,all on paste.

Try a pea sized amount around a single maggot then when it goes under you can shock your mates !

try dyeing your paste in various colours from the same mix its a eye opener what colour is best ??? + a flavouring very natural to the hive ??? chub love it lol

Yes, paste works on some venues in winter. Thumb nail pieces of paste on a 18 hook seems about right on most venues that i fish. A few 4 ml pellets for feed and reward every bite with a little more feed.

The Sunday open at Suffolk Water Park last week was won with 60lb of paste fish down the edge. The highest match weight since the big December freeze.

Simply the best piece on winter paste I have seen and worth repeating as its one that comes up quite often.Again,well thought out well written.(god I hate saying nice things about an Evertonian,please say something so that I can have a go at you)
