AnonymousWhats the best tackle shop in your area where you know you can walk in and buy the latest gear or they have stock items that other wise you would have to order on line or are they best for just bait?
Just thinking if we did not have the Internet
IMO – in our area
Latest – Wickersley Angling then Climax
Stock – Climax
Bait – 6AM tackleTrolley

BatesoParticipantTrolley,
Have you tried tackle 2 fish on penistone road or Billy Clarkes near SUFC?
These 2 are excellent, tackle2fish for stock and latest gear is a must IMO

TF_D.W.Used to be Angling Centre Northampton at one point in time, but since the shop closed, it has to be Chiltern Bait at Desborough. Probably so because the bloke behind the counter was the same in both shops!!!! Get a decent cup of coffee as soon as you walk in. It is a match anglers paradise…. Just got to get him into ordering the right stuff for the specialist angler!!!! lol

TF_inky fingerAnother vote for GONEFISHIN in Milton Keynes or Wolverton to be exact. In the last few months i’ve somehow parted money to the tune of one 14ft feeder rod, two long distance feeder reels and the new drennan finesse 13ft. I think it’s really important that we all support our local tackle shops because they will soon turn into bait only shops if we all buy online.Shopping in a place that has the kit that i like to use and they know your name, give info/bannter freely is something you cannot get with the click of a mouse.

AnonymousErnie Stamfords was a top place and he had some of the top rods for fishing in that era.
If i remember right Andy Kinder’s parents whipped a lot of the rods for Stamfords.Real quality
