John Walker does some superb floats but I cant tell you their names. Superb build quality and a top bloke.

Scone has just realeased some decent patterns including Munkees, which are good for across at this time of year. I have been using them over the last few weeks and have been very pleased

Hillbilly will never let you down, in the summer I use his floats almost everywhere and have yet to break one.

Rive 102 or Garbolino DC6 work for me, up to 0.2g for 1m maximum depth.

These in the many forms I make will cover your F1 fishing if it is Snakes. The Mini Finesse for shallows and the standard for water 2.5ft+. These are very versatile and can be fished with a variety of shotting patterns from strung out to bulk. They are made from a hard but light foam in the body.

I’m not a fan of pencil type floats myself which are the current fashion as I find they are only any use in calm conditions and can’t see any advantage to using one.

For carp tight across on snakes try my Ghandi float available in two sizes!
