With all your help i am close to purchasing a Browning Z 7.5 pole.

help is needed regarding ordering the tops as you have a choice beetween the match tops and light pullers you choose how many of each you require.

Are the light pullers and the match tops the same size with the no1 removed from the match tops ?

What configuration would you order as I believe you have a total of eight tops.

I fish mainly commercials such as Monks, hartleyland, colemeans etc.

I hope this request is clear as I am rushing to take the wife out to buy some paint re daughters bedroom.

I will be seeking further advice re sizes of bushes.

I just want to get it right and would love it if all the top kits were the same size.

Depends whether you use pullers or not!? I don’t! Was elasticating my Z9 at the weekend and cut the no.2s back around 12 inches to fit a 5.5mm Malman bush. I was advised to do this as they are too long, thin and bendy without. Only caught 1 skimmer but seemed ok!

In your opinion is it a better pole than the Tourny pro X Nathan?

Not sure yet! Well I have the original Pro, not X and the finish is certainly better, bit stiffer, looks stronger, maybe a bit heavier but it’s a bit longer too! Had mine measured yesterday during match! Was 15.7M with the half butt and no. 2 cut back.

                Thanks Nathan

I thought it would be a simple process of removing the no1 and bushing from there.

I have only just started using pullers as my old pole didnt have many top kits and i didnt have the luxury of too many options.

                anyone else with any thoughts

I’ve got both the pulla and PMKs. They are exactly the same length and diameter with the tip out (but the pulla doesnt come with a tip). Im sure they are based on the same kit. Ive just put internal bushes in mine without cutting back. I did cut one kit back more for a trial with Red Hydro but use the rest uncut.
I used sensas and some old garbo bushes that went in perfectly, but ive heard the latest Garbo bushes are a bit bigger. The bushes will easily take purple hydro and ive never felt that the kits are bending to much and the elastic comes out lovely.
Both the kits are incredibly light for their strength. I really like the pulla kits now ive got used to them. Its nice to be able to tighten or slacken the elastic as you need. I wouldnt go back to pulla bungs.
Try and get the Browning winder bungs as they fit perfectly without cutting and are only 3.50 for a pack of 3.
I had a Z7 before the 9 and it was a brilliant pole – as good as the 9 to 14.5. The 7.5 should be even better.

                    Cheers Paul,

Thanks for the detail, I will look out for the browning bungs. I will probably go 5 -3 PMK to light puller. Very impressed with elastic rating and how they handled it.The pole has recently been reviewed in the mags and it appears to tick all the boxes for me.
We dont have many Browning dealers that Iam aware of in Kent hence the questions. I have seen from previous posts that there are a number of z owners so I will await to see if they can add any further information.

                    Cheers
