Boss / Daiwa Pole Roller screws

  Lost a screw for my Boss roller, its the original yellow n black one – does anyone know were you can pick up the handscrews for the extendable legs. Been meaning to get round to it for ages.
  
  Wondered if Daiwa do them or is it a case of trying to go to Boss direct if they are contactable?

  I managed to get hold of a replacement leg for one of these a few months ago from Fishermans Friend in Birmingham.
  
  If you look on their website, there’s a section for Boss spares – they may well have the little screws you’re after.
  
  FWIW, the legs are Â£10 each.

  Boss don’t exist anymore do they? I thought Daiwa bought the patents for the rollers?

  The Daiwa rockin roller I’ve got has BOSS embossed (d’you see what I did there?) in the ends of it.
  
  I know someone who has a recently purchased Boss seatbox,which is almost identical to the Daiwa Tournament Pro box, as well as quite new Boss luggage to compliment it.
  
  I’d say they were still alive & kicking.

  I’m pretty sure Boss are no longer in operation, any bits you pick up now with Boss on are just what’s left in the system I guess.
  I’ve got the Tourny pro version of the Boss MD7 seat box and needed a new pole seat. Was unable to obtain one due to Boss apparently ceasing business, so purchased a second hand box instead and am using it for spares.

  The screws were available via the Boss website (which is still in existance) for Â£3.50, but the entire catalogue has been suspended. I’m pretty sure boss don’t trade as a company anymore. On the top of every page it says “to purchase these items visit Fishermans Friend”
  
  I’m sure Daiwa bought the patents to the rollers (Boss used to make them for Daiwa, as they did the seatboxes) and Fishermans Friend the rights for everything else. Of course, odd bits will still be in shops here and there!

  barry watts was his name he sold out but at the time did for diawa ie rollers, boxes,pole winders and plastic mouldings it all started at hounslow angling which is no more with tony saunders and tony bloomfield in its day a quality shop with a very good match crowd

  Â£5 for 2 – pity postage is an extra Â£6 so will have to wait until I am next down that way.
