Just fell over when I opened a renewal letter from my insurance company (AA) and my premium has gone up nearly £300 on last year! The only reason they can give is that everyones has gone up…
Van drivers who do you use?

I often refer people to a broker that I have used for many years: Pennington’s at the Scott Arms in Birmingham.

Good, straight forward honest service. We had a customer quoted over £7k for a Scirocco in Central London and they could do the same cover for £1,400! They even gave details of another company that could do it CHEAPER as they were that confident that theirs offered the best value for money! How good is that?

Ive just had the same thing mate, though not £300.I have max no claims,no points and its going up and up.
Lowest ive had so far for a double cab pick up is £405 with an excess of £550 which seems to be the norm as well.

Thanks for the replies, I tried a comparison site and got loads of quotes that were cheaper, including my present insurers! On the site the AA were quoting £150 cheaper than they quoted me to renew. I called them and told them what I thought of their service! Now sorted at £430 instead of my renewal quote of over £700!

~shh as most insurers will post you a letter qouting mostly a 25% mark up and above….reason for this is they cant offer tele sales or internet savings on renewel qoutes so when you get your letter ring them get you r reduced qoute and go shopping meerkat sylie and the rest of comparison sites.its a con as when you get your letter you autoi think thats the best you will get anywere so you send of the leter and dont worry aboutt he hassle of searching ~think
