TF_Steve LockettHeard from Grant Albutt last year that she was ill again. Such a sad loss, as she was a quality angler and seemed to be a genuine nice person the one time I worked with England Ladies.
Condolences to Mick. It will be no consolation that he was probably prepared for this. -

wendylythgoeEveryone always puts nice things about people when they pass away, but with Claire, there is not a person on the planet who could have a bad word to say about her. She was one of life’s truly genuine, lovely people and she would always see the best in everyone.
She will be so missed and I am glad I had the privilege to fish along side her and share lots of laughs and girly chats along the way.
So sad, she will be missed by all who knew her and I hope she is now sleeping peacefully.

TF_tomleggeHeard the devastating news via FB earlier in week, still can’t really accept that Claire is no longer with us.
As an angling-mad teenager who was all too aware that my male dominated sport was not exactly a hit with the girls, I used to see Clare’s pictures in AT & AM and swoon! Most of you will know her maiden name was Legge…so I used to think WOW if we ever met we could get married and she wouldn’t even have to change her name!
When I eventually met Claire much later in life I told her this and her smile and gentle laughter as always lit up the room.
RIP angel, and my thoughts are with Mick & fam x

Met Claire several times when fishing in the Birmingham Parks matches, Woodlands View and down at Evesham, and as everyone on here has said, she always had a smile on her face and had a word, one of lifes nice people.
RIP
