TF_SteveMayI ran a match on there last year. Plenty of carp in the 3-8 lbs size, they don’t show everywhere, if you think you’re on a few gear up for them. I would start by dripping micros in and expander on the hook in open water, 11m plus pole length. Plenty of skimmers and a few chub to go for, could easily win match on skimmers. Half the pegs will be able to reach one of the three islands, half will not. If you’ve got an island have a swim up to it, find about 2ft of water. Caster down your near side also works , keep dripping it in for an hour before trying it, caster on the hook.
If you draw a corner peg plumb it up carefully there will be lilies there, maybe not showing themselves yet so find out the extent of them under the water and fish up to them not over them.
Expect about 30-40 lb to win with plenty of 20’s as backing weights.
There are quite a few barbel in, if they show it will probably be on the caster line at this time of year.
One final point on the pellet swim in open water you’ve got to keep dripping a few micros in, every 5 mins or less. -

Anonymousthe last 2 weeks only 3 carp have shown on our matches, I would fish for the skimmers about 7 metres with as light a float as possible, right now pegs 10 and 19 are the best on there, fish close to the island and you will catch plenty of chub on those 2 pegs. Weather has been pretty good last few days so maybe carp might be feeding but don’t count on it. I would think 25lb will be a good weight if the carp don’t show and maybe 35 if the carp show. We struggled last week and 18lb won 17 was 2nd and 16 3rd, pegs 10 and 19 have been 1st and 2nd for the last 2 weeks, take plenty of maggot

We broke the ice in Jan and still needed double figures to win it. Chub, skimmers and carp and an odd barbel if you’re on em!!
