One of those venues where you need to take everything including the kitchen sink!!
If phase 1 is in, then you need pellet wag rods, method/bomb rods.
Most pegs you will just fish the pole on phase 2 & 3, but odd few rod and line pegs. (flyers)

Bait wise, again anything goes, but will need all sizes of pellets.
If it were me not having fished the place before, I would wait to draw and then buy some pellets from the cabin on phase 1 car park.

I know its not much use, but best bet would be to cover all options, then make a decision having spoken to a few people on the day.

Sadly, I aint got one for here, which is a shame cos spent the last 6 months fishing it every week!!!

Lakes reserved for the Fish ‘O’ Mania at Makins Fishery on 20th April 2011 are; 30 pegs on Lake 2, Phrase 1. 60 pegs on Phrase 2 (these will be 30 pegs between Lizard & Lagoon. 10 pegs on Snake, 10 pegs on Reptile and 10 pegs on Paddock). 40 pegs on Phrase 3 (these will be 10 pegs on Derwent, 10 pegs on Thames and 20 pegs on Avons)

Dont just think lake 2 will win it, i fish it every week and yes the right angler on right pegs on lake 2 will do some damage, but last week what about the 120 and 110lb that came of avon????Restocking has taken place on some lakes for example 141lb came of crater last week but that aint in i dont think? Right angler on lizard or lagoon will get a big weight on a couple of pegs!!! So dont just think u gotta draw lake 2, have a open mind .
Then moan afterward lol.

can anyone tell me what the rule is on keepnets at makins ie how much weight per net? is there any size of fish that cant be put into nets eg 20lbers

phase 1 50lb in each net split your fish dont matter about size i suggest you all take 3/4 nets in case!!! 192lb won there 2day on peg b2??? so dont get caught out just check with alan the owner b4 hand m8.

I’m furious, was advertised as Phase 1! Only reason I put it as 1 of my 6 guaranteed tickets and now missed out on Packington! I hate Phase 2 and 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
