TF_NickCAfter yesterdays great summer weather!! or not! I’m in desperate need of a new brolly, the words” expensive PVC preston brolly dissintergrates” made the headlines.
I’m tired of buying expensive “c…p” brollys over the years and am looking for some advice on what to go for.
I Fish commercials
pole, feeder, waggler,
don’t like attaching to my Rive, arms are rubbish,
so far i’m looking at
Daiwa Levelpegger
Fox Matrix Space Brolly
Nash Peg Oneany pointers gladly received!!!

TF_GLEBE1Having gone through the same I’ve given up with big brollies!
For the last couple of years ive relied on decent waterproofs and a bait brolly, you can cast out, ship back and land fish without it being in the way and you don’t have to hang on for dear life in gusts!!!I sat out in that tempest yesterday and had dry bait and was bone dry myself when I took my layers off after the match.

TF_brian aParticipantI would advise you look for brolly with fibreglass arms, definately not aluminium arms.My fibregalss arm brolly has been inside -out several times and it folds back easily.I would also suggest you use 2 x arms to hold the brolly onto Rive box – it makes so much difference.

TF_Gary KGet some of the threaded adapters that fit on the end of the brolly arms as used by the carp boys for attaching storm poles. You can then support the brolly with a couple of extending banksticks as well as the centre pole. Yes they get in the way but they stop the brolly blowing around and turning inside out

TF_macca63Not used a brolly for over 30 years spend more time holding on to the things than you do fishing – get some decent waterproofs such as Protak dont cost the earth and will keep you bone dry.

TF_craigmI sat through the horrendous downpour yesterday in my Daiwa Goretex and stayed dry all day, only problem is the pocket filled up with water which drowned my phone. 😮 😮

TF_Mike HerringtonI bought a cheap 2nd hand brolly from a car boot and use that. had it 2 years and still going strong, although it leaks a bit LOL.
Try to get some goretex off ebay. Bought mine from there couple years ago. absolutely bob on.

TF_RhinoWaterline Grey r good – get the flat back and put the flat bit to the front to give some space to lift your top kit. as previously posted definitely use two brackets.
I only use a brolley on very wet calm days, better to use goretex and a bait brolley and also use the Greys bait boxes with the lift up lid in the middle to keep bait dry.
