        REPORT

MOLANDS Although there were winning weights of up to 90lb, the fishing was a little harder this week with some areas fishing better than others. The Scare Crow point is the most consistent areas with pegs 43 – 45 producing good weights of carp and F1’s to the pellet feeder fished tight up to the islands. Around the pool, pole fished pellet or chopped worm and caster is catching mixed nets of F1’s, skimmers and tench with pegs 4, 10 – 12, 26 -29 and 55 – 60 the pick of the pegs.

GEARYS Cold north easterly breezes have made the shallow Gearys a bit harder this week with the deeper water along the high bank the most consistent area. Pole fished corn down the margin under any overhanging bushes is the best tactic producing carp to double figures and big skimmers up to 3lb.

LITTLE GEARYS Unlike the other pools, Little Gearys fished a lot better this week with lots of anglers weighing in 30lb+ and 60 – 70lb winning weights. F1’s providing the bulk of the action but there were carp to nearly 15lb and plenty of skimmers caught too. The best tactic is to fish long pole shallow with pellet or caster. Best pegs are 3, 7, 14, 21, 24 and 26 – 29.

GRATUITIES Fished well through the week but the frost at the weekend slowed sport a little. Pole fished meat or corn at 6 – 8 metres accounted for the better bags of carp and tench with nets to 50lb+ including carp nudging 10lb and tench to 5lb. Top pegs have been 1, 6, 8 – 11 and 15 and 16.

ANNIVERSARIES Mixed bags of small carp, tench, F1’s and skimmers coming to pole and pellet with corn and meat and are accounting for some better carp with fish to 16lb caught this week. The bigger fish are coming from the top end with pegs 2, 6 and 9 all producing the bigger catches.

WILLOW Good sport all round with pole and pellet accounting for mixed nets of carp, F1’s, skimmers and tench. The better bags of bigger carp are coming to the pellet or corn fished down the near margin. Top pegs are 1, 2, 4, 7 and 10.
