TF_geepsterParticipantAfter having to two-trip it to a couple of pegs recently (with not too much at the end of it) it’s time to think about investing in a barrow suited to match anglers….
Which ones have you used and which would you recommend and why? -

TF_Fred Davisbest one that i have seen is the preston four wheel shuttle,a lot of the lads use these in the london postal league, I have seen them grow in popularity over the last year or so anglers were having the two wheel converted to a four wheel before preston bought out the four wheel version as they are useful at virtually every commercial match venue long or short walks, the great thing about them is that you can throw everything on them box carryall rodholdalls and ready rod bags can be strapped on you just push and the wheels turn you carry no weight at all so anglers using these arrive at there peg refreshed, well in a better state than me lol I have been so impressed with these that I am almost tempted to buy one myself, other than that a moterised trolley but the problem is you have to lift them in and out of the motor and those batteries weigh a bit. with the preston you even have additional space with the attached piece of luggage. I keep looking at them and can’t as yet fault them.Early models had a fault with the wheel axels but preston have sorted this out replacing plastic with metal, they fold down well for easy transportation, a must have for
festivals like stafford moor it’s easier walking with the shuttle than loading up and takeing the car to the various lakes then having to unload.Gareth Blag one off of preston you do enough video promotion I am sure they’l oblige
If not buy one.The added bonus is if you can’t get on with it Gareth I’ll buy it off you for half price  😉 😀 😀 😀 😀

TF_WonkerscrampWhat Fed said Geeps.Best by far.The only draw back i can see is on natrual banks, ploughed feilds ect,but any sort of trolly would be on that sort of ground. The latest model comes with a wider wheel base too. 😀 Bristol Angling Center where doing them a bit cheaper, and next day delivery.

TF_chaveyParticipantGareth, I use the Fox Barrow Platform, and reckon its the best thing I’ve bought! It is brilliant over rough or uneven terrain as I only fish natural venues, The platform is massive and very stable and it is very easy to push if its balanced correctly.

TF_sillysodthink the preston is the best choice if you just fish well maintained commercials, but if you do more natural type venues then something like the fox would probably be better

TF_LolBnew matrix barrow two wheels but they pivot. So no matter what the terrain is like it will allawys be level. Had mine about tree months only weak point is the wheel cos they aren’t solid like the preston. other than that good build quality and they seem super strong check them out.

TF_Kagger TNBIf you want to take your kit, the kitchen sink, the fridge, freezer, oven, washing machine, and microwave, a Rigger fits the bill.
I use mine mainly on natural venues and cant fault it.

TF_Yare RodThe Daiwa barrow, essentially the same as the fox barrow but 2/3rds the price!! Ideal for natural and commercial venues.

TF_ropaFor commercials the preston 2 or 4 wheel, and for long walks on uneven ground like riverbanks the Powerwalker electric trolley takes some beating 🙂

TF_Fred DavisI must admit I have had a good look at all rct rigger, matrix. fox, daiwa etc you still have to lift the bl**dy handles and carry some weight in some cases rods over the shoulder as well? one of the barrows is £169 for a one wheel barrow this surely is daylight robbery imo 😮 😀 😀 😀 😀
the four wheeled preston shuttle still gets my vote as no lifting required and judgeing by the ammount you now see on the bank it looks like the favourite 🙂 🙂 🙂

TF_steve rFox Barrow/Platform for natural venues but I’m converting some spare legs with removable wheels to make it into a 4-wheeler for those easy commercial walks where you seem to carry twice as much gear – best of both worlds and you still have a decent platform if needed 😉
