Hi All
week11/6/12 to 17/6/12
Best Fish this week
James Day of Raunds Rainbow 7/8lb buzzer nymph[estimated]returned safely
The recent heavy rainfall has kept some anglers away at the earlier part of the week but as the weather improved by mid-week those that ventured out caught well on numerous damsel and buzzer patterns.Boat anglers again faired better although the few bank anglers have caught some nice rainbows up to 5lbs mainly again on damsel nymphs and black buzzers.
When temperatures have risen hatches of damsels, sedges and stoneflies have been numerous. The pick of the boat anglers again this week with double figure catches have been Phil and Gene Robinson of Raunds,Bill Callaway ,David Barker and Neville Silver.
Fish are now close to the surface on the calmer days making nymph and dry fly sport exciting particularly with the excellent fighting qualities of the fish now being stocked this season.
Plenty of fish between 21/2 and 6lb now being taken .
41 anglers caught 145 rainbows and 1 brown with 62 rainbows returned safely
