Last week i saw a maver elite 88 on ebay listed for just 24 hours, i checked out where the person selling lived and it said LATVIA, she wants payment then it takes 15 days to get the pole, which apparantly is coming direct from manufacturer, it went for over a grand, ive just seen another elite 88 come on for 24 hrs, different user name but same address, feedback is zero on it and has sold 2 items in history which are these poles….is it a scam or what????

I think you are right mate, there was/is a 774 and an m1 also listed with the same format, everyone should avoid!!!!! 😡

The M1 went for just under £1k. Bargain if it’s real.

Its definately a scam, why would they come direct from manufacturer and why would the seller have access to all these manufacturers ?? 15 days to give them chance to withdraw the money from Paypal and then close the account I reckon.

4 or 5 different sellers, all with different Ebay names…. all selling Flagship Poles.

All have the same payment details, all have the same listing details, all have the same amount of feedback & feedback comments!!!

All are from Latvia, but at first glance they look like a UK company!!

                Does not look good!!!!

I was watching the Sensas 874, I think it went for about £859, true bargain if its pukka, but I guess it isn’t.

If it sounds too good to be true then it usually is.

Seems like you lot are of the same mindset as me, The thing is , if you pay them by paypal and you dont recieve the item you can get a refund, sorted by paypal, and the seller cannot close their account until 3 months( i think) after their last sale, im just unsure what happens if the seller closes the bank account that paypal are taking the monies from…it all looks very dodgy but people are winning the bidding and obviously paying for the goods, i was hoping for one of them to reply to this too thanks

Thats right you are protected by Ebay & Paypal, Im not suprised everyone smells a rat though it just looks dodgy to me….

It’s OK saying you are covered by Paypal but if you know its dodgy then why bid in the first place? If you pay the fraudster you are just compounding the problem – at the end of the day someone has to pay for it and it’s usually the honest person who is met with increased insurance premiums etc. If peoples greed didnt get the better of them and nobody bid the fraudsters would go somewhere else.

I’m sure if anyone had their tackle stolen and some scrote was selling it down the pub at a fraction of the true cost you would have something to say – this is just the same and another form of criminal activity.
