Recent strong winds have hampered boat fishing – but when conditions allow anglers have been rewarded with fish in many areas. Fish have been caught down the middle of the North Arm (Tower, Finches Bank), the main basin and Old Hall to Hambleton Wood, with fish again feeding on daphnia, shrimp and corixa in some areas, again very little fry in the fish despite the good numbers available.
Bank anglers have caught fish off the Fishing Lodge right hand wall, Normanton, Fantasy Island, the Finches to Armley Wood area and Whitwell Creek.
        Predator fishing
Predator anglers had a few fish with around 30-40 Zander caught on Saturday alone. The best fish recorded weighed 12lb.

12 Boats will be available up to Sunday 2 December – please phone the fishing lodge to confirm – booking essential (01780 686441).

Predator anglers can take advantage of additional boats being available until 2 December – but booking is essential.

Please note the Brown trout season has ended – any Browns caught must be returned safely to the water immediately.
Winter restrictions started on 1 November – no boats past the sailing limits.
