Worthing based Prime Angling came out on top in the two-day 2012 Sea Anglers Match Federation National Sea League finals, fished on the North Norfolk coastline by 29 of the UK’s top shore angling teams.
There were nearly 2,000 fish, mainly dabs plus flounders and whiting, caught on a cold and frosty day one from the beaches of Cley, Salthouse and Kelling/Weybourne.
Prime Angling were in third place 11 points off the lead after the first day, but the team of Paul Stevens, Colin Carey, Joe Arch, Darren Newland and Darren Bond made it count on day two when fish were harder to come by.
Their overall total of 63pts was 18 too good for second placed Seaton Sluice, with Ipswich Sea Anglers third. Full results at http://www.seaanglersmatchfederation.com .
