FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 17/2/13
Last week 82 rods caught 278 fish for an average of 3.40 fish per rod.
Depite the cold weather at the start of the week and ice on the pools early in the mornings,the fishing has been very good this week.The fish have been more willing to chase flies and small black or white lures, fritz patterns and gold head damsels have all been working well on intermediate lines.Bloodworm,black buzzer and diawl bach have also accounted for a few fish this week.The best areas have been the lodge corner and the wires bank on cocks close.
The weeks largest fish was an 8lb rainbow caught by Richard Knight of Bham who was fishing from the bank of cocks close and took it on a silver minkie.Mr S Wiseall of Melbourne caught a 7-4 rainbow which fell to bloodworm pattern whilst fishing from a boat on cocks close.Mr Bowen of Bham fished from a boat on Park Meadow pool and took 7 fish to 5lbs on white lures.
