Hi,can anyone help me with a few questions I have about an old garbolino master ace pole I have purchased.
        1. the fourth section is slightly different to the rest as it doesent have any fine yellowish wrap like the othersections. Is this correct.
2.the decaled sections state the pole to be certain length but its well under theese stated lengths. Why.
        3. There are 4 decaled sections out of only 10 sections. this is with an extension. Its still only 12.8m with this on , yet section 9 states the pole is 12.10 before its added.
Any light anyone can throw on this subject will be gratefully recieved as I dont have a early 90s garbolino tackle catalogue. thanks..

The master ace with the extention was 13.6m & used shorter sections than today’s poles. The top 3 should be slightly longer than the match top 2 of a modern pole. Sounds like it has been cut back a fair bit or it is missing the number one section (which was very fine and needed cutting back a lot to take even a no6 elastic.

If I remember correctly, the power maxim.was made on the same mandrel so the mismatched sections could be from this pole especially if they feel more robust than the others.

Thanks for that D.W info on this old classic is hard to come by.
The pole has got the top section in, its about 450mm long, the 4th section bthers me though coz its black smooth as opposed to the other sections which are totaly different with an elaborate yellow wrap . There is a metalic blue band about 150mm long at the female end of each section , this is also present on the black 4th section. It seems strange to me that they would change the design of the 4th section. I must admit im a bit of a collector of poles of this sort of age , I have a number of oldies but goodies and I fish with all of them.
