Conditions gradually improved this week with rising temperatures and with this came some good fish being caught from bank and boat.Pick of the catches from the bank with 14 rainbows falling to his own Cats Whisker variation was season ticket holder Andy Baranowski from Northampton with floating line in 4-6 feet of water along the lodge bank.
Boat angler Mr Herridge from Stevenage took 13 rainbows on a red damsel in the deeps on an intermediate line in the deeps.
On the warmer days small black flies are hatching and a few few fish are now falling to buzzer patterns.
Some excellent fish between 4-6lb now being taken on imitative patterns although the fish are still fairly deep down.
Excellent brown trout stocked this week which the fishery is requesting anglers to return to the water so that other anglers have the opportunity to catch these fine fish.
Prospects very good as the warmer weather returns at last and black buzzers, damsel patterns, bloodworm fished on floating lines should be the order of the day.
Water clarity good.
Weekly stocking continues.
