        Hi All
        week 15/7/13 to 21/7/13
        Best Fish of the Week
Gene Robinson of Raunds-Rainbow estimated 7-8lb Buzzer
James Foster of Ringstead-Rainbow estimated 6-8lb Buzzer
        Paul Shephard of Bedford-Rainbow 3lb 12oz Buzzer[Green Head]

The very hot conditions during this week have made the fishing extremely difficult but the cooler conditions at the weekend gave some good sport to those anglers that ventured out.Season ticket holders Phil and Gene Robinson again fished in the deeps and caught 13 rainbows using buzzers static under the bung with Gene securing the best fish estimated at around 71/2lbs.All fish were safely returned.
James and son George Foster out in the boat on Sunday caught 16 rainbows up to between 6-8lb mostly on buzzers fishing in the small bay[river bank frontage] where large numbers of fish were holed up feeding around the weed beds. The majority of these fish were also returned safely to the water. These deeper areas have been holding fish since the arrival of the hot conditions whereby other shallower areas of the lake have struggled. This is likely to continue whilst the weather remains as it is and although there are a few bank swims the best option is the boat to get to the fish holding areas.
Best tactics are floating lines with long leaders and either damsel nymphs or black buzzer with a tungsten green head a pattern which has been proving very successful throughout this season.
Water clarity very good and weed removal has assisted in being able to fish most areas of the lake.

        Best Patterns:Damsel Nymph,Black Buzzer[Green Head],GRHE,PTN[UV],Diawl Bach[Green Head],Daddies[wet or dry].

        Best Areas:Boat -Deeps,River Frontage.
        : Bank-Deeps,River Bank
