FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 22/9/13

Last week 89 rods caught 158 fish for a 1.8 average.

The fish are still in large shoals and this has meant that it was feast or famine for the anglers last week.

Small Buzzers, Damsel Nymph, pearly Pheasant Tail Nymph, GRHE and small white Lures have accounted for most of the fish caught last week.

Richard Roper of Halesowen had a good day catching 13 rainbows to 3lb on Buzzers fished on a floating line whilst fishing from the bank of Cocks Close. Harold Pritchett of Mancetter took two fish and returned a further five on small Damsels fished on a floating line from the bank on Cocks Close. Alec Kerr of Nuneaton took five fish with the biggest going 4lb 2oz whilst fishing from a boat on Cocks Close and these all came to an Epoxy Buzzer.

On the members’ waters, Park Meadow is the pick of the pools with Ian Laws of Nuneaton fishing on there from a boat and he caught five and returned a further four fish up to 4lb, which all came to small Nymphs. The Great Pool has been very difficult over the past week but Dave Woollaston of Warwick managed to snare three fish to 3lb on a small orange Diawl Bach fished on a floating line.

For the time being we have four boats and limited bank space so pre-booking is required.
