Ringstead has enjoyed some good sport both from boats and bank, when weather permits.
Mr McWilliams and Mr James both from Cambridge had an excellent day from a boat in the deeps both catching their limit of good quality fish weighing 2lb a piece.
Although no double figure fish were caught this week, Anglers were pleased with the quality of their catches.
Regular Anglers, Phil and Gene Robinson from Raunds fished from the bank and had a good days sport. Mr Harris from Luton was happy with his afternoon ticket catching a bag of three.
Best areas for boats are the Deeps and Bank, the Sandbanks and Lodge banks.
Best flies, Red Buzzer, Orange blob, Black fritz, and Montana.
When Ringstead closes at the end of November we are starting pike fishing, ie. Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. The prices are as follows:
£10 per person and boats also £10.
We are doing both bank and boat fishing. Please bring your own dead bait, live bait not permitted. Lures must be over 6 inches in length. Please can I remind all anglers to take care when returning caught trout to the lake.
        All enquiries to 01933 622960 or 07584 241078.
