  i have booked the glebe for the 2 day tf match again for 2014,it should be a bit warmer this time 😀 .dates are fri/sat 27th & 28th june 2014 on lakes 1,4,5,6 and 7.First option will be to the people who supported last years match in very cold conditions.peg fees and section money will again be £40 with optional pools run on each day.payment details will be posted later in the week,but must be recieved by mid febuary at the latest.in case any spare places become availible then pm me if you want to go on the reserve list.anybody on the list who cant make it please let me know.without lakes 2&3 like last year on the advice of the glebe regulars the match will be limited to 50 pegs.a reserve list will now be started

  Longshoot only had about half a dozen rooms left today @ £29 [without breakfast] for a twin or double through booking.com so get in quick or miss out ! Can’t wait to get back having missed last year for the first time since its inception although some of you may not recognise me now as I’ve shed a bit of timber and as the sleep issues have been sorted I should be awake for both days fishing !

  wont be long now before me and my little bruv are coming down to what we think is the BEST fishery in the land this will be our fifth trip on the trot 🙂
  Just got a couple of questions for all you glebe regulars.
  1 what line and hooks do you use for margin
  2 for five mtr line
  3 shallow or mugging and line for feeder
  hope I am not asking to much but we are all friends on this site. 😀 😀
  any info greatly appreciated

  hi al ive been down there the last 3 weekends and theres some big weights coming out to a lot of different methods.the 5mt line hasnt really kicked in yet but might do by the time we go,last sunday mugging was the main tactic for a lot due to weather bright sun very hot and flat calm.some people caught well in margins others struggled.the feeder is producing plenty of fish as well but the best bet is draw a corner with the wind blowing in 😀 hook wise ive been using the guru extra strong spade very strong very sharp,line for the feeder shimano techo and bolo 8lb comes in 300mt spools and is superb ive used it for 3 years now.im there again this fri and sat so will update you next week.

  You should see the members match weights from last Sunday!…….makes us “guests” look like “deck chair Derek’s” by comparison bar Pete’s stunning weight of course……..l
  
  Should fish well Fri / Sat but we won’t have quite as much room on Lake 1 as the MFS match or the Glebe members match but who cares a bad day at the Glebe is a good day most other venues………and we have the shoot to look forward to!
