The strong winds and heavy rain made this new years day open hard to present baits properly with all the top weights coming on the feeder, Top rod on the day was Middy’s Simon Skelton drawn at peg 54 an end peg on the day he fished a small pellet feeder with 6mm hard pellet cast to the small island landing 13 carp – 9lb for 58lb 3oz.
In 2nd place Steve also fished the pellet feeder and pellet hook bait cast to the lily pads at peg 26 for 18 carp – 6lb.
