Can anyone suggest a good hook for fishing chopped worm on canals, currently using drennan red maggot hook but feel it is a bit narrow especially in smaller sizes for smaller bits of worm. The new preston 412 looks great but has no barb, was looking for something that would also be suitable for sticking a caster on every now an then as a change.

What are you targeting?? Different hooks for say targeting carp and then targeting skimmers

Kamasan B560 ! If fishing for perch use a decent elastic like no 8 and you will hardly lose any fish

Wouldn’t you need 2 different patterns – one for targeting big perch with (say) half a lob worm and one for targeting roach/skimmers with small segments of dendra? (You also need to balance your line diameter and elastic too.)
