Drennan have been doing fine line waggler rods for along time so i would have a look at their range. The ultra lites are very popular and in avaiable in a wide range of lengths. I love the my acolyte at fourteen foot it’s slimmer, cheaper, better balanced, lighter and crisper than the tournament 13ft and will cope with very light lines. If you want something really soft go for the finesse 13ft i’ve used mine with wagglers up to 6grms and lines down to 0.8 for roach and proper bream without any problems. I have used the acolyte for afew sessions and is everybit as good as the finesse but with a bit more power and more of a tip action.
If you fancy adding to your waggler float collection i would really recommed those from Drake (slim wagglers) Perfect (hollow tip sliders) and Michael schlog (genius 4 zoomer). Long live the rod and line !

drennan ultralite or normark microlite…………..somebody mentioned the alcolyte…tis a beautiful rod but a bit to harsh for mega light hook lengths imo. id be happy catching match sized carp with an alcolyte
