Coming down to Chester end of February/beginning of March, so looking for somewhere nearby to fish on Saturday/Sunday while wife’s shopping.

        Any recommendations?

Is the river an option, does it fish at this time of year?

        thanks

        Mike

Not sure about the River, but Hampton Springs is not too far from Chester. Its a good mixed fishery, but you might need to check if there are any matches on for the weekend you will be there. Also search for the phone number for Chester Tackle Locker they should put you in the know.

          Tight lines.

Well worth a trip to Farndon if the river is not in flood. It should fish very well until the end of the season. Its free fishing above the bridge on the English side of the river but you need to be there early. I was on the river before all this rain and it was fishing very well. Dace/roach from 2oz to 6oz in bags to 30lb.
