  Anything can effect people who love fishing A theft. An illness. Retirement. The list is endless. Getting into a rut with your pastime can lead to you thinking . I ain’t enjoying this anymore !!! Tell us what you did to envigourate you’re enjoyment of the best sport of all !! For me the simple purchase of a Bham Anglers Membership turned back the years . Wake up think go fishing . Look in the guide and the possibilities are endless and all for 36£ a year . No. They don’t sponsor me but I met a different fellow when I got around . Interesting people !!! :p :p 😉

  for me when i begin to lose a bit of interset i buy a new bit of gear be it a rod reel floats etc etc, it always seems to renew my interest as i cant wait to get out and use it, also trying new venues and methods help.

  I love my match fishing but enjoy lure fishing for perch/pike and roving for chub on small streams.
  A change is as good as a rest!

  Lured into lure fishing .I also got the bug and went many evenings for a couple of hours last summer. The BAA card is perfect for this . I used a 10ft straight bomb rod supposedly for carp and braided line of 0.10 dia that really assists casting tiny spinners along way . I found you need a medium tippy action so you can feel the spinner working . Made a welcome change from the match treadmill and I got my dinner some days . 😀 😀 😀

  Never lost interest as i do a mixture of fishing from matches,to barbel fishing,spinning,and carp fishing.

  Normally if I’m getting despondent I look for a new venue to try or revisit one I haven’t been to in a number of years. Normally results in making new acquaintances or meeting people not seen for years (this just happened lately and was great to catch up).
  
  If that don’t work usually spend a couple of Sunday’s with the wife; that always reinvigorates my fishing interest. 😉 😉
