I’ve been using the Mach 1 for large carp (6lb +) for three years and cannot fault them although I did change from the 9ft to 10 ft versions.

For F1 and small carp I have 2 Silstar Diaflex (25 yrs old) which are superb but no longer available.

It depends on what you want to pay, some of the lads I fish with swear by the tourney 10-11

What sort of price are you looking to spend?

If you can go a bit more you should be able to get a couple of drennan series 7 feeder rods for around £150-160!

Get couple of reactorlites or mini carp

Oh right. Team Daiwa’s are hard to beat! Hearing good things about the new Drennan matchpro’s tho!

Have a look at the new shakespeare superteam feeder rods mate, I’ve got the 10 and 12 foot versions, spot on and cheap at around £60 – £70.

All depends on how far you want to cast and how big the fish are really.

Best tip rod out there.

Both will do the job. Personally I would go for the 10ft if you are only going to cast 25m, but the 11ft is more versatile if you need a bit more distance!

Ive got 2 of the new drennan ultralight 10-11s. Brill rods and handle bigger carp too.

drennan ultralite is way too light for specifically targeting carp….okay on porth

shakey mach3xt in 10.6″ absolutely knocks spots off a shimano 9-11 and you prob pick em up for £75 each

Andy ive got the 2 10ft Iteam daiwas in the fedder and 2 10ft pellet wag they are spot on for a chuck like twin oaks and can handle anything in thos lakes,
They are pencil thin and its all about having confidence in the tackle. I love these rods ive had the Shakey ones and Drennan its all down to personal choice, get to the tackle shop and give a few a waggle

Hi try the frenzee Feeder rods they do a 9ft 10ft.6 11ft. Brilliant rods good action and powerfull
