Hello Sillysod,
Below is a copy of what I put on Facebook this week regrading my Z10 pole which I got mid December.
Well had my Browning Z10 pole for a few weeks now…. So what do I think of it?
When I first held it at longer lengths my first thought was this doesn’t feel much difference to my Z9 however you just cannot compare these poles side by side..
For one thing the Z10 is a far stronger pole; you can feel the strength in the sections (the pole is marketed as the Z12’s stronger brother and it is indeed strong).
I still can’t believe how much longer the pole is compared to quite a few other poles..
I have measured the Z10 and at the quoted 16m section my pole is actually 16.152m and with the half ext it is 16.992m (quoted as 16.800m by browning).
I have had loads of comments with anglers thinking i’m fishing at 16m when I’m only using the the 14.5m with the half ext (which I’ve measured at 15.092m).
This weekend with the winds I really appreciated the strength in the sections as I felt more comfortable holding hard against the wind.
So very pleased with the pole and if anyone local (ish) wants to have a feel by all means contact me and we’ll arrange a suitable time to meet.
