Angling Trust RiverFest 2014 entry forms available from 18th March

From Tuesday 18th March entry forms will be available to apply for the 2014 RiverFest qualifying matches.

Entry forms and further details will be available from the Angling Trust website at http://www.anglingtrust.net/riverfest and will also be available in the two weekly angling publications, Angling Times and Angler’s Mail.

This year the qualifiers will begin on Sunday 22nd June on the River Calder at Mirfield. There are 20 qualifying matches of 60 anglers on various river venues around the country, continuing on a weekly basis through to the last qualifier on Saturday 1st November on the River Nene at March.

There is an increase in prize money available this year totalling an incredible £29,000. This sees the UK’s biggest river competition get even bigger with a first prize now of £12,000 for the winner of the grand final on 15th/16th November on the River Wye at Hereford. (The prize money is subject to a sell out of all qualifiers and sponsorship.)
