A very good week with the best rod average of the season so far of 5.6
The mild weather has got the fish switching to buzzers with many good bags being taken on black buzzers either straightlined or under an indicator at 2 to 5 foot down. On calmer days there are fish rising and it looks likely that Elinor’s superb evening rises will start early this year.
As well as buzzers the fish are feeding on the numerous corixa in the margins and small immature damsel nymphs.
Boat anglers have almost managed to keep up with the bank anglers this week and fish continue to be caught from all parts of the lake.
