        REPORT

MOLANDS It was a little tricky for most on Molands last week with the afternoons and evenings the best time to fish. Carp to double figures, big F1’s and skimmers were caught but not in the numbers of previous weeks. Pellet feeder fished tight to the island has been the best tactic for carp and F1’s during the day then switching to the nearside margin with corn, worm or pellet fished over ground bait. Top pegs have been 2, 12 – 19, 27 – 29, 43 – 48, 54 – 58 and 60.

GEARYS There have been some cracking carp coming out at the moment with lots of fish over double figures and fish to nearly 20lb coming out. Two carp anglers fished pegs 31 ands 32 using red boilies and and a PVA bag using pellets and caught over 20 doubles up to 18lb 12oz. Match weights to over 100lb were recorded and the method out to the stumps has been the top tactic. Along the high bank, plenty of big skimmers up to 4lb are being caught on pole and pellet at 7 – 11 metres. Top pegs are 6 – 13, 19, 21, 27, 28, 31, 35 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Mainly F1’s shallow at the moment with catches to over 70lb in matches. There have been a number of bigger carp caught with one angler weighing three for 40lb on a club match and these bigger fish are tending to be caught from the margins on corn, worm or big pellets. Top pegs are 3, 7 – 13 and 24 – 30.

GRATUITIES Fished a little more difficult than the past few weeks with catches to over 40lb the best this week. The corner pegs 1, 8, 9, 15 and 16 have been providing the best sport fishing down the margins with corn, meat or pellet for carp to 10lb and tench to 4lb.

WILLOW Fishing well at the moment with lots of F1’s and small carp coming to the feeder fished tight up to the island or long pole and pellet. Pegs 1, 3, 5, 7 and 11 have all been in good form this week.

ANNIVERSARIES Peg 1 is the top peg at the moment producing good nets of carp up to 15lb on corn or pellet fished across to the overhanging bushes. Around the pool, lots of skimmers, crucians and small F1s are showing to pellet along with the odd bonus tench or carp. Top pegs 1, 6, 9, 15 and 23.
