TF_tench0771is that it 3 years!! i find that frustrating maby thats y tricast maver daiwa r so populer as u can allways get spairs for them even my map pole spairs r still avelable that pole was out in 2008 ,when u pay £2000 + on a pole i think spairs should still b made after 8/10 years

TF_matchaceas ive said the proof is in the pudding
BROWNING have set the standard even higher
it is awesome truly awesome
i dont know what other BRANDS
are going to do when they see this it will take
something special realy special to beat this IF IT CAN BE DONE
we will see what happens when they step up to the plate -
06/09/2014 at 7:31 pm #173129
TF_wightanglerobviously – they won’t need to do much if every pole’s only good for 3 and a half years.
Can’t believe a relatively huge multi-brand german company can’t manage to store and logistic a spare stock. PI will be on the slide from now on presumably.Truly appalling. -

1st all the range is interchangeable with sections
2nd most anglers keep there poles a no more than 3 years
IF you fish regulary with them
3rd browning still have stock from 10 years ago cc910 etc you can still get sections
4th BROWNING still have one of the best parts and delivery systems in the buisness -
07/09/2014 at 5:50 am #173133
TF_tench0771thats a good ider bing interchangable sections alltho i have to dissagree about changing poles every 3 years ive had my map parrabolix sti for 6 years as i cant afford to up grade that often 😮 alltho if i was minted i would 😀

IF you fish regulary with them ‘pmsl – most? you mean a few . Most spend few grand on a pole and will change it maybe after ten years. Thats why you still see plenty of t/pro’s around at matches and they command very good second hand prices – and i’m no daiwa fan either. I also see quite a few decent poles with electricians tape on likely sections. I fish regularly with my poles – but my main garbo pole – at least like Daiwa, Tri-cast and i’m now lead to believe MAP – buyers can consequently be assured of a replacement if a major section goes after a few years. I use an old G10 and being a tight git – often buy repaired sections as they come up – but if the worst occurs – i know that i can still buy new sections from Garbo UK – rather than have a unusable discontinued pole because of missing one section.
So you’re definitely confirming on record as a sponsored Browning angler that Browning will as Zebco company policy have definitely spares of all sections of recentish poles for 10 years?
Hoping another 3 years at least with a Z9 as my mate’s recently suffered an accident – and probably wont be the last. Nothing against Browning – far from it – but would like to be sure about replacements 5-6 years on.
However, i do note from http://www.browning-fishing.com/SparePartService.html
that Browning supply Billy Clarke/ Pole Spares.co.uk with sections including the discontinued Z9 which does give some rather credible reassurrance – than the 3.5 yrs actual product shelf life informatively stated by another poster. Why i ask is, there has been many great poles but quite a few people now have effectively expensive broken sticks from some companies due to discontinuation to a later section break as accidents occur.

TF_matchaceto be honest tenchy i love my z9 i wont give it up
with the financial climate coming back up people will spend more
on fishing tackle
its a fact but like everything if you want the best then you have to pay for it
im finding it hard to part with my Z9 -
09/09/2014 at 7:24 pm #173182
TF_arrow otterParticipantI’ve still got the Z9 3 years old still going strong and actually bought another one for £600 not long back so hopefully keep me going for ten more years lol

TF_arrow otterParticipantI no mate that’s why I bought it. Came of a good friend who had upgraded. I’ve never held the map pole so can’t comment but did own a tournie pro and it ain’t as good as my Z9 it’s super stiff and I just can’t see the point in getting a Z12 Z14 when the pole I’ve already got is the boll##ks

TF_Mike HerringtonMatchace got his Z14-1. I had a fish with it today. it was light and the action was nice and stiff when playing a fish. The finish is very good.
