The fish are feeding heavily on the surface on calmer cloudy days. Even when the suns out the majority of anglers are catching in the top 4 foot.
Some superb condition rainbows were taken last week, mainly from boats although the bank fishing is gradually improving with the weed dying off and the water temperature falling.
Washing line is still the favoured method.
Prospects for the back end of the season have never been better with Elinor’s massive daddy hatch imminent and a good head of small roach and perch fry available.
The Dave Hughes Memorial Fur & Feather will be held on Sunday November 9th.
