National Angling Conference

ANGLING TRUST SUBSCRIBER MEMBERS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
AND FISH LEGAL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
As announced in the Angler magazine (Spring 2014 issue) and e-news earlier in the year, the Angling Trust’s Subscriber Members Annual General Meeting and the Fish Legal Annual General Meeting are to be held on Saturday 4th October 2014 at Barston Lakes, Marsh House Farm Lane, Barston, Solihull, West Midlands, B92 0LB. The Angling Trust Subscriber Members AGM will commence at 10:00am, with the Fish Legal AGM commencing at 10:30am. The AGMs are free to attend and members are encouraged to attend or submit proxy votes.

THE NATIONAL ANGLING CONFERENCE
The National Angling Conference will provide an opportunity to look afresh at the National Angling Strategy ‘Fishing for Life’ and hear about work being done at clubs, fisheries, angling projects and elsewhere to increase participation, use and promote the many benefits of fishing, bring new and old waters into use and stimulate angling based tourism.
We’ll hear how some clubs have obtained funding and worked in partnership to develop their facilities and offerings for anglers. The Angling Trust will also describe its current participation programmes.
The conference will conclude with an open forum, where the key messages and issues will be discussed and ideas collected to inform Angling Trust’s future work.
