yeah bought one off ebay instead of that 88 it was 400 cheaper, after using 371 it is in a different league very light but you shit yourself everytime you hook something that pulls back a lot ,have had carp to 6 t 8 lbs though and was ok keeping the pole very low ,not using anything more than 13h with it though,oh and the guy i got it off had feedback of over 3000 no – comments and it arrived with the 13m section smashed to bits but no damage to tube,he refunded me 225 so i put a hundred to it and luckily maver had a 13m in stock 325 ouch 😮 sorry for not buying 88 but theres no difference my mates got one and it was delivered.as well

Cheers for that Dave, I picked one up yesterday. No worries on the 88 mate, the lad sold it the next day so no problem mate. I thought the 88 was half decent to be honest, how do you think the 66 holds up against it, I know a few people have said the 66 is definitely stronger. What’s it like at 16m mate??
            Cheers for reply bud.
            Hope Ozzie is well. 🙂

ozzie fine mate he a little sod for about 2 years now i have to hand feed him from his bowl he jumps on to the edge of the sofa looks at his bowl and starts whingin or sometimes he will bark the only time he will eat from his bowl on his own is if you put a tin o tuna fish or salmon in with his food ,anyway the elite 66 is fine at 16m using short 4 makes it even better at 13m it is so light its unreal you will pleased when you come to use it i am sure.

Cheers for that Dave. Pm me your number. Always good to keep in touch. I’m probably only gonna keep the 66 for a couple of months then move it on. Sounds like it’s a decent pole though. Glad Ozzies ok bud 🙂

Thanks Tench, I’ve also heard the 66 is stronger than the 88. I’ve got it now so will give it a go and see how we go. I’ve had it up at all lengths upto 16m and it felt really nice, also, and I’m bein honest, it does feel surprisingly strong. Time will tell. The pole I’ve bought has a repaired 6 and a wrap on the 14.5m section, both due to accidents by the lad who had it. If I don’t like it I’ll just sell it on. Nothing ventured nothing gained. 😉

I’ll let ya know if we ever get a hot day on a Sunday haha. I’ve spoke to a few people who have Maver Elites and they have all said that the suncore is superb in the hot weather and also equally as good in the rain. It’s meant to be superb for shipping. Perhaps somene else who’s actually used one could let us both know.
I spoke to a fella the other day at my local tackle shop and he was saying that he’s had Maver Elites since the Elite 47 came out, he said he’s now using a 66. He’s broke one section in all that time, and that was because he stood on his number 4.

I had a 371 that had the Suncore finish, yes it ships well and doesn’t get too hot.
