IM new to the area, and would like to get involved with an angling club/team.

Anyone know who, what, where, when etc as to how I get involved.

        Cheers

I’m the match secretary for Attleborough Sports AC, a Nuneaton based club. We meet at Attleborough Sports and Social Club at 8:30, every Thursday without fail.
The club has about 40 members of varying abilities. There is a mix or Commercial, Canal and River anglers. We currently have 2 teams of six in the Makins Winter league and a team in the Barston (River Avon) Winter League. The canal lads also fish team matches throughout the Winter. Many of us also fish the local open match circuit.
I run a Spring League of 10 consecutive matches on local commercials for club members, end of March into June, very competitive and possibly the best part of the angling year for many of us. then a smaller Summer League on a similar basis.
25/30 of us spend a week at Viaduct fishery in Somerset every July. Fabulous fishing and loads of beer.
Great bunch of lads, loads of laughs, you’ll need to be thick skinned an up to a bit of abuse, the p*ss taking is merciless.
Best club in the area by a long shot.

You’re more than welcome to join us. £30.00 a year. You get that back with peg subsidies and free XMAS match breakfast and pegs.

            Craig.
