        REPORT

MOLANDS The windier weather during the week has stirred things up a little and it fished very well with 100lb+ match weights coming out. Molands slowed a little at the weekend but decent sport was still had from most areas. Pole fished caster either at 14 metres or down the margins is definitely the best tactic with maggot and banded hard pellet both scoring well. Pellet/method feeder fished to the island is also catching with meat the best hook bait. Top pegs are 3 – 8, 15, 17, 21, 27 – 33, 42 – 48, 52 and 58 – 60.

GEARYS Not in the best form at the moment although the carp that are showing have been very big with fish to 18lb caught in matches. Bomb and pellet or down the margins with corn, pellet or worm have been the best tactics this week. The skimmers are showing on some pegs with nets to 30lb being caught on chopped worm and caster over ground bait. Top pegs are 6, 9, 13, 16, 19, 21, 30 – 38, 36 and 37.

LITTLE GEARYS Fish are being caught all around the pool but winning weights have been down on previous weeks with nets to over 50lb best. Short pole and caster or pellet has been the best tactic but shallow fishing with pellet is still catching plenty of F1’s as well. The better pegs have been where the wind has been pushing into with 10 – 21 the top area.

GRATUITIES Lots of carp, crucians and tench showing to caster, maggot or expander pellet fished over micros the top tactic. Pellet or a small method feeder to the island is also worth a try with punched bread or Polony the best hook baits. Pegs 1 – 4 and 9 – 11 are the best pegs at the moment.

SIBLINGS A The better pegs have been from 11 – 17 with carp showing well along with tench to 3lb and skimmers. Pole fished pellet or maggot has been working best.

SIBLINGS B Getting more and more popular with anglers enjoying good sport with lots of F1’s, small carp and tench being caught. Float fishing tactics have been best either just under your feet or high against the far bank.
