MOLANDS The milder weather saw an upturn in sport with F1’s showing all around the pool. The best area has been around Scarecrow Point from pegs 42 – 48 and pellet feeder fished to the island has accounted for the better catches of up to 50lb. A few carp up to double figures have also featured on the same tactics.
GEARYS Carp anglers fishing big boilies out to the middle stumps have caught a few carp up to 15lb. The matches have been difficult with 15 – 20lb needed to frame. Pellet feeder or open end feeder fishing out at 30 metres has caught a few carp. Best pegs are
9 – 13, 16 – 18 and 31 – 36.LITTLE GEARYS Still the most consistent pool at the moment with F1’s showing on most pegs. Catches to 70lb were caught last week with pole fished pellet or maggot accounting for the better catches. Pellet feeder to the island is also working on some
pegs.GRATUITIES Fished quite hard this week but plenty of roach, skimmers and crucians are being caught on pole and maggot or caster. The better carp are coming to the waggler and punched bread with fish to 8lb being caught on the hook but it is waiting game. Best pegs 1, 5, 9, 11 and 15.
WILLOW The waggler with pellet, maggot or punched bread fished up to the island has been the most consistent method on Willow with F1’s and small carp to 3lb coming to this.
REEDY BAY/FIRST BAY/CRESCENT/ALDER These small pools have provided the best chance of getting plenty of bites throughout the day with F1’s, carp, skimmers and rudd showing well in all of them. Pole fished maggot, caster or corn have been the best tactics.
