Today looked good as the runoff water had now stopped.

Got down on the River bank about 2 pm today . It was perfect for the stick ,double white maggot .

First cast and was in to a trout and then it was non stop till I could see nowt .Caught twenty two spotties .

Will be on tomorrow at dinner as the rain will be coming the day after ,hope the chub show with a few roach ,fingers crossed !! 🙂

Got down for a second helping it was just before the rain came at 1 pm but it was worth the wetting and I caught another load of trout up to 1lb but still no silvers.

So I will have to go back again , !!!! 🙂

            Will it be bread.?

            HAPPY NEW YEAR TO.

Well all the chocolates are gone and tea is hours away ,must be time for a trip down to the river and see if them silvers have got up yet .

Then again a pull is a pull in the new year and the fight from them trout, they just dont stop for a second do they!!! 😎 🙂

May even spot some wild life about.. 😀

Gave it another go today and the river was in better condition , the level was good and the colour had stayed and the downstream wind was nothing .

Still could not get any silvers as the trout were mugging it – {maggot} every time the[bomb -for a change] went in .

The weather is set good all week so will be doing a bit more and it will be some bread next time.
