The popular silver fish only league started on Saturday, where high winds greeted the forty anglers taking part for the first half of the match so a feeder approach was the way to go. Drennan and England international Steve Hemmingray on peg 19 on Lambsdown led the way with 34-0-0 of feeder caught skimmers and roach caught on worm and caster to take the first round.
Second place went to john walkden (w.b.Clarke match team) who after a slow start on the feeder changed to pole and caster to finish with 25-4-0 of roach and perch.
