Still great reels for how old they are only difference between them and replacement model 3003cu was the bail arm. I have both really powerful winding power don’t have to pump fish if you don’ t want to just wind. Cast a long way too spool a decent size drag good too if you use one.

I have several of these reels they blind the tdr models only problem is now daiwa don’t service these models any more which is a shame

Excellent reels, I use these and the Cus, i have not seen a need to change to anything newer. I Did break a bail arm through my own carelessness, and as said Daiwa dont carry spares, this applies so they said for anything over 7 years old. I managed to source one from America, still far cheaper than an equivalent replacement.
