Hello boys and girls. I recently started coarse fishing again after a very long time away from it. I’m in the Thetford area and after looking at the rivers thet and little ouse I’m fairly certain I’ve found the bits I can fish on for free. But I’m looking to find a club with other rivers I can fish. But I can’t find many details on clubs in this area with river access. They all seem to have lakes on their books. I can’t find a website for the Norwich anglers. I don’t want to travel too far – there are dozens of little streams and rivers around here so there must be a club somewhere? Cheers John

Welcome to the forum. Kings Lynn AA control a lot of water in the area, including ten mile bank. The Ouse at windmill bridge is worth a try too. The river lark & the wissey (by the A10) is good for roach & pike. There are numerous drains around the mildenhall area. Get an ordinance survey map & have a good look
          And good luck!
          Regards peter.

Cheers Peter. The lark is on my list but it seems hard to contact anyone via their website. I did look at KLAA and I’ll have a think about it. I have John Wilsons where to fish book and armed with trusty OS map have found some rivers. the big problem is finding up to date info about who owns what. Most of the internet info about free fishing is out of date. I went to Santon Downham and asked about fishing the river and so far I have 4 different answers as to who can fish there…As most of the clubs run membership from the new season I’ll hang fire before I join one.
