Octbox. Not stocked in many shops but Google to get to their website. Excellent box regardless of being relatively inexpensive.

I really rate my Fox/Matrix seat box, its really comfy and the modular arrangement means I can add or remove trays as I want.

I’m in the market for a new seat box, looking to spend as much as it needs to get a quality product. After doing some research and looking closely at a number of manufacturers products, to be perfectly honest I have never seen such a complete load of grossly overpriced sh*t on the shelves.
Too much plastic, poor quality knobs/screws for retaining extendable legs, poor quality draws, many claims on websites of poor quality welds on some products.
I currently have the old blue Daiwa Tournament box. This was well made apart from the actual seat component of the box warping after 18 months preventing me from opening the top draw when sitting on the box. I would buy another if not for the bright red colour of the current model. Not a tackle tart, don’t need to be seen from half a mile away thanks.
As for Rive. Well you can’t be a serious match angler these days without one. Remortgage the house first. But a bit like an Alfa Romeo, oozing classy design and style, beautiful on leaving the showroom. Break down on the way home.
Octbox look good. But all those threaded metal ends on legs to dink your three grand pole on. Scary!
It’s a mine field out there. The market is absolutely wide open for a well designed, well constructed, affordable box, preferably manufactured in the UK. Whatever happened to Boss?

Matchbox. Well designed, well priced, and last ages.

ive had an origanal quadbox a while now mate and love it, best box ive owned, prefer it to 2012 octbox, rive d36. and matrix superbox all boxes ive also owned, like how stable box is even with 4 legs, the smaller footprint and ease of use, also take a look at the new maver boxes more or less the same box imo.
