New Tourney Pro X VS Airity. Is it worth the extra money?
Serious question. But you know where I’m going.

There’s a video on u-tube comparing the Airity to the Air.

Yeah there’s a little difference between airity and air pole. Share the video here Norman.

If they were the same they would be the same price?

                    Not sure about that.

A Ferrari 458 Spider and 130 tonnes of turnips both cost the same. They are very different!

A Ferrari 458 Spider and a Red Ford KA convertible are priced very differently and yet have many features in common.

                    Don’t follow the logic??

Don’t be a plonker. It is quite clear what I said. If the air and airity were the same they would be the same price. The air is more money and it is better, fact. However I would suggest going to a shop and trying them as just because one is better in certain ways it does not mean it is the one you should buy.

                          It’s magic!
Nothing in it really is there.
I work as a sales engineer. I can sell the exact same product to a number of customers at wildly different prices. It’s just a case of selling the science behind it. Or at least just enough science to justify the price you’re asking.
Marketing, it’s a truly wonderful thing.
How much science do the pole manufacturers give us? Daiwa put differing numbers of black spots in a white square to sell the difference of a thousand pounds. See the catalogue.
Don’t get me wrong I use a Daiwa Tourney Pro. Good pole. But I do not have sufficient information from any pole manufacturer to make an educated choice in buying a new pole (and spending three grand of my hard earned money), other than reading the “my poles better than yours” sh*te on these websites.
It’s about time the customer got to know the facts. Something you would be given when choosing between a Ferrari Spider and a Red Ford Ka convertible and hopefully wouldn’t need if offered 130 tonnes of turnips.
