can anyone tell me what affect ,if any, shortening or lengthening the loop which your feeder is attached to when using a paternoster rig for skimmers/roach/perch. Is the length simply determined by the length of your hook length, ie longer hooklength -longer tail. Or does it actually effect the sensitivity of the rig?
Have been using a twisted loop about 10inches long including the feeder the past couple of times i have been out and whilst i have caught quite well, the bites have been very, very slight. Was wondering if shortening it would make any difference???
