        What factors dictate when to use shot or stotz?
        Also, what good soft shot do people use?

          For carp rigs I use stotz, simply because I can easily mount 8 9 or10s easily on 020 line and they don’t ping off.
          The slits in most shot means they are difficult to mount on heavy line in small sizes.
          The one drawback with stotz is that they move so you need to keep checking that they are in the position you need.
          I guess for light rigs on finer lines shot have the advantage if your eye sight is good enough to get them on!.

            Best soft shot I have found is ZLT by the way, its all I use now.

              i use just stotz now they never ping off slide easy dont kink the line ect
