Just read Alex’s editorial regarding the disqualification after the Lindholme qualifier due to wading. I had not realised that the rules posted at the fishery were not the same as on its web site. I fish commercials quite a bit and the rules issue needs sorting out.
Worse still, in my opinion is for someone to be seen breaking rules before a match and then be reported after the match no doubt with photos taken on mobiles as evidence. It all strikes me as a very cynical win at all cost approach that has no place in our sport. Its all supposed to be for fun, very few if anyone can make a living fishing matches, its just a passion to be enjoyed.
These sort of events do nothing to enhance our sport in my opinion.
